DOGTV is a premium cable television network made specifically for dogs. Founded in 2012, DOGTV works on a paid subscription model and targets pet parents who want to keep their dogs company while they are away.
Challenge:
DOGTV added a new lineup of shows to its offerings and needed a press release to announce this.
I honed in on the angle of what DOGTV is and what makes it unique. A bold headline including a call out to ‘dog parents’ is an attention grabber, and comparing DOGTV to Netflix in the opening sentence captures the reader’s attention. I spotlighted each show with a bulleted list that would appeal to a variety of targeted dog moms and dads. Coupled with a direct quote from a happy customer, a statistic, and the benefits dogs bring to human lives, the press release performed well.
